Organizers and Advisory Group

 

            The conference organizers are (in alphabetical order)

            Each of these individuals has been working on various issues related to the themes of the program, and each has broad experience in the basic science of marine bioacoustics. Dr. Tyack and Dr. Wahlberg have expertise with marine mammals, while Drs. Hawkins and Popper have worked with fish. 

 

            In addition to the organizers, we have invited several people to serve on an Advisory Group. These include individuals with expertise in policy and regulation, as well as representatives of industry and funding agencies interested in the issues.  The Advisory Group will help us design the conference to ensure maximum effectiveness, and will also assist in selecting many of the participants.  They will also serve as session chairs and discussants in various parts of the conference.
